This exciting new, double-sided electronic DEVELOPLAY™ Activity Center will keep baby busy happily pulling, pushing, spinning, grasping, looking, listening, smiling and squealing with delight! For babies 3-24 months
The DEVELOPLAY™ Activity Center stimulates the senses by offering baby varied and rich sensory experiences and activities.
It stimulates sight with such interesting and clear elements to look at as the smiling face with the blinking nose, in addition to other colorful elements.
Hearing is wonderfully stimulated with an especially wide range of sounds and tunes, including a musical unit which introduces baby to different musical instruments and shows how they all come together to play a lovely Mozart piece.
The sense of touch is stimulated by offering baby a large variety of textures, materials and shapes to experience.
Fine Motor Skills
The two sides of the DEVELOPLAY™ Activity Center offer over 20 different activities that provide ample opportunity for baby to prefect his fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination appropriate for his age.
The blue side offers large activities that are relatively simple – striking, rolling, pushing – appropriate for the younger baby learning basic control over his hands.
The green side offers more complex activities that require separating the fingers, using the "pincer grasp," and using fingers in a variety of ways – thereby strengthening the muscles.
Cognitive Skills
The DEVELOPLAY™ Activity Center offers many ways to explore simple and complex examples of cause and effect.
In the simple examples, baby learns to activate an element or perform an activity to watch or see how he can make something happen – such as pushing a button and receiving audiovisual feedback.
More complex examples relating to cause and effect include learning how doing one thing, makes something else happen, such as turning one wheel on a set of gears makes the second wheel turn, or moving a lever sideways makes the flower spin.
Object Performance
The DEVELOPLAY™ Activity Center contributes to baby's understanding of the concept of object permanence, with a figure that jumps out from under the door, and makes funny human sounds.
Baby's ability to make this figure appear and reappear again and again contributes to the enjoyment he gets from controlling the situation.
