Lamaze Marina the Mermaid

Marina is a little girl mermaid wearing a purple felt flower clip in her stunning ginger and orange tactile hair made from felt cut in a combination of straight and wavy hair! This is great for little hand to explore and tickle with. She has a pastel pink face embellished with embroidered eyes and a big smile. Her outfit has lots to explore too including a felt edged top that can be turned up or down and a smooth satin body that baby can grab onto and has little felt feet protruding out that can be played with.

Her fin is a fascinating combination of colour, textures and encompasses a mirror. According to research baby’s most favourite view is the human face and this includes their own so the mirror is ideal for self-entertainment and participation with others. Her fin also includes 12 strips of satin ribbon each approximately 4cm long and great for tactile play. Another 6 wider fuchsia ribbon strips are attached to an inner fin in yellow print fabric that makes a ‘crinkle’ sound when touched which is ideal for auditory development.

Last but not least in each hand Marina holds a treasure. On the one side she holds a star shaped rattle made from satin and felt fabric featuring an embroidered smiling face. On the reverse of the star rattle is a bold stripe black, white, grey and red fabric perfect for stimulating baby’s vision. In her other hand she holds a green ‘seahorse’ which transforms to be a fantastic teether for baby.
