A magical tree with adorable creatures hanging from its limbs, "dancing" to one of the 4 calming tunes, the Tiny Princess Mobile™ will have baby engaged and soothed.
Developmental Values
- Multidimensional movement help your baby focus on objects and track them with her eyes, strengthening spatial perception, eye muscles and vision.
- Provides a calming, soothing effect. Combining music and motion, the mobile becomes a stable, familiar and friendly element for your baby.
- Contributes to the development of language. Sounds form musical sentences that help stimulate your baby's linguistic faculties.
- Unique movement
- Converts to cribside music box and night light
- 20 minutes of music, 3 classical, 1 nature
All Ages
- You can hum or sing along with the Gymini Tiny Princess™ tunes, enriching your baby’s musical experience. Babies are fascinated by human voices and your baby is most fascinated by your voice. You can play the entire symphonies from which the music box tunes have been taken for your baby to listen to.
0-1 Months
- As babies only face sideways, you can connect the music box alone, without the rest of the mobile. At about the fourth week, you should connect the rest of the mobile, thereby stimulating baby to look up.
1-3 months
- Baby looks up and enjoys watching the objects moving above her and following them with her eyes, thereby developing sight and strengthening her eye muscles. Her improved vision allows her to discover more of the mobile elements. The classical music stimulates baby to listen and develops her hearing.
3-5 months
- Sit next to your baby so that you can point to the various objects with your hand. Point to the approaching animal and call it by name. In this way you give meaning to the various objects.
5 months +
- After the sixth month babies often lie on their backs in their beds and lift their legs, leaning them on the bars. In this position, your baby could unintentionally activate the music box. This unintentional action may gradually become intentional and teach her about the link between cause and effect. Show your baby how to activate the music box and encourage her to try.
In her first months, before she learns to grasp objects or sit up, your baby will most appreciate things she can look at and listen to. Her vision will be fuzzy at first and she'll fix on things that are about eight to 14 inches from her eyes. She's drawn to the human face, and can recognize yours at about 1 month, but she will also enjoy the colourful characters like the ones on the Tiny Love Princess Mobile.
High-contrast patterns and bright colors captivate her because they're the easiest for her to see, so the bright colours on this mobile are ideal for early visual stimulation for your baby. She's already learned to appreciate sounds and soft music. Objects that move slowly and produce a gentle sound are far more interesting to her than those that are fixed and silent, and with 20 minutes of classic music, your baby will be entertained while she tracks the moving objects with her eyes.
A mobile can add a new dimension to a baby's horizontal view of life. Look for ones with high-contrast colors and patterns, like this one. Many babies are particularly fond of mobiles that play music and research has shown this can provide a calming and soothing effect for the baby. Attach the mobile to the crib rail so that your baby can look at the mobile easily. Infants this age look to the right 80 percent of the time, so a toy hung overhead or on the left will be of limited value now. For safety's sake, keep the mobile out of your baby's reach.

Play is absolutely necessary for developement. Play is crucial for your child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. It's your child's way of learning about his body and the world, and he'll use all five senses to do it, especially in the first year. What does this feel like when I touch it? What does this sound like when I squeeze it? What will happen if I push this or pull that? Crawl over there? Pull myself up on this? Exploration is the heart of play, and in your child's mind any experiment counts, even hurling a bowl of cereal off the highchair tray. Development experts are fond of saying that play is the work of children (and cleaning up after play seems to be the work of parents).
As your child moves into the toddler years, his play will become more imaginative and complex. Through play, he'll exercise key skills and qualities, such as independence, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving. It can also be an important place to explore feelings and values and develop social skills. Long before your child feels comfortable sharing his favorite toy with his sister, he may offer it to a doll. His first spontaneous "please" and "thank you" may slip out at an imaginary tea party. And what parent can resist wasting a perfectly good bandage the first time her child says his teddy got hurt?
