All Ages

• You can hum or sing along with the Gymini Tiny Princess™ tunes, enriching your baby’s musical experience. Babies are fascinated by human voices and your baby is most fascinated by your voice.  You can play the entire symphonies from which the music box tunes have been taken for your baby to listen to.

0-1 Months

• As babies only face sideways, you can connect the music box alone, without the rest of the mobile. At about the fourth week, you should connect the rest of the mobile, thereby stimulating baby to look up.

1-3 months

• Baby looks up and enjoys watching the objects moving above her and following them with her eyes, thereby developing sight and strengthening her eye muscles. Her improved vision allows her to discover more of the mobile elements. The classical music stimulates baby to listen and develops her hearing.

3-5 months

• Sit next to your baby so that you can point to the various objects with your hand. Point to the approaching animal and call it by name. In this way you give meaning to the various objects.

5 months +

• After the sixth month babies often lie on their backs in their beds and lift their legs, leaning them on the bars. In this position, your baby could unintentionally activate the music box. This unintentional action may gradually become intentional and teach her about the link between cause and effect. Show your baby how to activate the music box and encourage her to try.

In her first months, before she learns to grasp objects or sit up, your baby will most appreciate things she can look at and listen to. Her vision will be fuzzy at first and she'll fix on things that are about eight to 14 inches from her eyes. She's drawn to the human face, and can recognize yours at about 1 month, but she will also enjoy the colourful characters like the ones on the Tiny Love Princess Mobile.

She's already learned to appreciate sounds and soft music. A mobile can add a new dimension to a baby's horizontal view of life. Look for ones with high-contrast colors and patterns, like this one. Attach the mobile to the crib rail so that your baby can look at the mobile easily. Infants this age look to the right 80 percent of the time, so a toy hung overhead or on the left will be of limited value now. For safety's sake, keep the mobile out of your baby's reach.
