Our founder graduated from City University (London) and grew up in a household from where her parents ran a successful babywear business. Wanting to follow in their footsteps and use her education, she combined the names Baby and City to form www.BabyCity.co.uk, as a retail destination for all things baby.
When initiating the business, she faced many problems sourcing reputable baby brands for the online store and realised there was a need in the industry for a business to connect manufacturers digitally and efficiently with vetted independent retailers. Over the course of 15 years+ that Company has become a multi award winning firm, served circa 2,000 retailers in 65 countries and represents over 50 manufacturers. Following Brexit, the business incurred spare capacity and in 2023 formed an independent retail company Baby City Ltd, providing a direct to consumer service with the benefit of the same premises and product portfolio.
